The Story

It Started With One Freelance Gig and a Refusal to Do Mediocre Work.

Webknown didn't launch with a pitch deck or a seed round. It started in Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand — a small industrial town that most people in tech couldn't find on a map. I'm Saurabh Kumar Srivastava, and I started because I kept seeing the same thing: businesses with great products getting crushed online by terrible websites, lazy marketing, and agencies that treated them like an invoice number.

So I made one promise: every project gets built as if my name is stamped on it — because it is. That promise attracted one client, then five, then thirty. And the work kept expanding — clients didn't just need websites, they needed apps, brand identities, marketing campaigns, videos, content. So instead of outsourcing, I built a team. Designers, developers, filmmakers, marketers, writers — people who share the same obsession with quality.

Today, Webknown is 11 people strong — 5 senior specialists and 6 apprentices we're training in-house. We do everything from code to camera to copy, and we don't farm a single pixel to outsiders. We're still small on purpose. Because in a world of 200-person factories churning out template sites, being the 11 people who actually care about your business is the strongest competitive advantage there is.
